At 4:51 p.m. my grandfather lost his battel with cancer. Caro called to tell me and after that there was nothing but silence. We all gathered at my house and we sat and talked and cried and just spent the time together remembering him. Now the only thing left to do is pack and be with the rest of our family.
Well I have return from Breckenridge. Actually I have been back for a few days but I was unable to post. Damn Blogger.
First of all I want to say THANK YOU! to everyone for your thoughts, prayers and most of all your kind words during this difficult time. They mean so much to me. Thank you, Thank You, Thank You!
O.K now on to the trip. The conference was amazing, I loved all of it. Some much good information, amazing food and great people. I spent most of the conference wishing the rest of my staff would have been able to come as well.
Every time I go upto the mountians, I end up falling in love with a new town. For now Breckenridge is my new favorite town. It is sooooooooooo beautiful up there, and peaceful and I just loved all of it. I did take pictures to share them with you guys. So here you go.
The Drive Up.
The View from our hotel. There are ton's of flowers all over the town.
You can ride this cute little trolly up and down the town for free. It was how we got around all of the time. During our first night there we went to Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. for dinner. On Our second night we had dinner here. It is an old river boat that sits on a lake and has a beautiful view of the mountains. The really cute/cool thing about Breckenridge is that they turned all these old houses in to stores. They are so cute.
There was a fox outside my window. I was trying to take a picture of these cool flower pot but it came out all blurry and i thought it looked cool.
"Standing here/The old man said to me/Long before there crowded streets/Here stood my dreaming tree/Below it he would sit/ For hours at a time/ Now progress takes away/ What forever took to find/Now he's falling hard/ He feels the falling dark/ How he longs to be/ Beneath his dreaming tree." - The Dreaming Tree by: Dave Matthews Band
Mi Viejito is dying.
In less then three months Cancer will claim my grandfathers life.
I am going to Breckenridge for four days, for yet another conference. So while I am gone, I am going to leave you guys with the post about my godmothers birthday party. Take Care of yourselfs and I will see you soon.
My Godmother turned 60 in May. We celebrated it in June with a HUGE party. Here are some of the pictures and videos from those 5 days of parting (yeah we party hard). Sorry if this is a little long.
Was at my house. We had a few people come in early for the party, so we had a good ol' fashion BBQ at my house. There are no pictures or video from that night because, umm i simply forgot to take some. Sorry!
Day 2: Was at my uncles house. I remember to take picture there...lol. Here they are.
The lovely ladies with my godmother.
Mis amores and me.
Americas Next Top Model!
She is giving Caro a run for that title.
What up Joe? " Karla take a picture" They start so young!
They are so cute!
The Little Cousins.
E and Me cause we are cute.
After we left my uncles house we went to do an airport run. It was late and we were bored so that so explain the following....
Day 6: The after party was held at Caro's house the next day. The only problem was that after five days of non-stop partying and no sleep, everyone was too tired to party. We spent the day taking people to the airport and laying around Caro's house doing nothing. I went with Ramon and Hilda to visit the cutest old man.
So I know I am a little late posting this and I do apologize but umm this is hard work :). Since you ladies have been so patient, I am going to give you a present, TWO pictures of each papi chulo. Los Papi's are in order of their respective list. Happy (very belated) Anniversary El Papi Chulo List!
Part 5: Wentworth Miller
Part 3: Paul Walker
Part 2: Derek Jeter
Part 1: Orlando Bloom
Now for El Papi of all Papis. Thanks to everyone who voted it was a close call.
