So here I am at work on a Friday night. It has been crazy around here today and i have a few things i want to finish up before i go home.
I am offically booked for my first "away" conference. I will be going to Rifle, Colorado. "Where?" You might ask. ( Yeah that was what i said as well, i had never heard of it either until this conference came up.)
I will be there for four days at the end of this month for a literacy conference. I am excited i love going to new places. I was reviewing the list of conferences that i will be attending this year and it looks like i will be coming to a city near most of you. I will let you know when it get's closer to that time. From the looks of it i am going to spend most of the year on a plane. Which is cool with me because i love to fly. Heck, I just love to travel.

OMG, Karla, you have to come to the east coast! Hopefully, near DC, so you can hang with your DC primas! ;-) This new job sounds great!

dunno bout we colored folk in a place called "rifle" in the middle of po-dunk-boondock-hick-colorado.
do you remember our drive up to estes? we though someracist bastards were gonna come kill us!
and then we were living a horro/thriller movie.
when we pasted through the racist-farmer-no-cell-phone-signal-town. holy shit.....we DYING from nervous, anxious, pure laughter. =) hahaha, we turned upthe music and all, love it, jus tove it.
westside colorado might as well be the south for me....along with wyoming and all of those states.
i have recently realized that ihave no desire to go anywhere in the US that i havent been, lol......except for like......Florida (very select places), NorCal, maybe seattle, maybe a texas city or two, and maybe chicago......but furreal, i have no desire to visitthe midwest, northern-midwest [you know all those montana, dakotas], or like anything else....oh maybe alaska and maybe hawaii [on the want to visit list], hehe......and, well, we ALL know my feelingtowards the south.....avoid at all costs.

Elsie: I will actually be in Texas in June. Maybe if my boss sends me to this conference that is going to be going on there. I will let you know.
Joanne: Actually i might be going to D.C. in November and then again in December. Which is exciting because that way i will be able to hang with you and Marissa. So get those papi chulo's ready :)
Caro: LMAO....good ol' Estes. That was so funny. Us and our summer mountain trips. I love those. I actually thought the same thing as you did when she said i will be going to Rifle. I am trying to get her to send me to Cali. We will see what i can do.
Envizable: Thanks! I am one of those that loves to fly. I really do, so i am excited that i get to travel for this new job.
